Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou

He must travel to the island of Tong-Nou to regain his soul. It was released for Mac OS and Windows in 1994 (Japan) and 1995 (North America). 

Osamu Sato is known for his surreal and odd work, spanning mediums such as video games, music, and multimedia artworks. He began making video games in the early 1990's as a way to explore new ways to make contemporary art.
